An Alien Perspective -dcalien

What I see is what I see - Do you see something else?

I have learned from reading elsewhere that If I have a problem with someone, it can only possibly be a result of my inadequacies. It could not be because the other person is disrespectful and I set boundaries as to how far I allow others to go with me.

It could not be because I am in charge of myself, and responsible for what I allow for others to exert in influence in my life. No it must be some shortcoming in me

We all have our little and grand fantasies about how life should be. The above is not mine, it belongs to someone else.

There once was a man who was born into a family that had money. Of the many problems that come along in a persons life, it was never one of his to wonder how to pay for something.

This all occurred no thanks to him, as he was born into it.

His parents had worked very hard and sacrificed much in order to build this wealth from nothing.

The man railed against his parents for their attitudes. He said that it was all a matter of being positive, and positive things would come your way.

He said that anyone could come from any circumstance and achieve wealth and financial security just by having the right way of thinking. So according to him anyone in financial difficulties just chose to be that way because of their attitudes.

He had always enjoyed good health as well, and chalked that up to his refusal to be sick, once again stating that anyone could do this. So anyone who had sickness in their life once again was by choice, as it is all a matter of attitude.

How many things viewed from a limited perspective appear so simple? In fact why not take a limited perspective and just say it is the only one, and if others do not see it that way it is a flaw in their thinking.

All I see is all there is to see.

All I feel is all there is to feel.

All I know is all there is to know.

All I am is all there is to be.

Or have I been blinded by the lack of light?

Is my perspective so limited that I do not even know of the existence of others?

Is my perception of things the only one possible?

How did I get so intelligent?
